Here’s to an unforgettable Fourth of July

weekend in Boise!

… and one mountain escape worth the drive

Fourth of July Fun in Boise

The Fourth of July is one of the best weekends to be in Boise! Whether you're chasing fireworks, floating the river, catching a baseball game, or escaping to the mountains, there's something for everyone. Here are a few of our favorite ways to celebrate!

Ann Morrison Park Fireworks

You really can't go wrong with Boise's biggest Fourth of July celebration! Grab your lawn chairs or a blanket, pack some snacks, and head to Ann Morrison Park for live entertainment, food vendors, family activities, and an incredible fireworks show once the sun goes down.

Pro Tip: Parking fills up fast, so plan to arrive early or consider biking or using a rideshare if you can.

Catch a Boise Hawks Game

Nothing feels more American than baseball on the Fourth of July! Cheer on the Boise Hawks, grab a hot dog (or two), and stick around after the game for an awesome fireworks show. Even better—they'll have fireworks after every game on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, so you've got plenty of chances to catch the fun.

Pro Tip: If you're bringing kids, stay for the fireworks—they're one of the best parts of the night!

Float the Boise River

Float season is officially here, and there isn't a better way to cool off on a hot Idaho afternoon. Grab your tube, rally a group of friends, and enjoy one of Boise's favorite summer traditions before heading to your evening BBQ or fireworks.

Pro Tip: Wear water shoes, don't forget sunscreen, and keep an eye on the river conditions before you head out. Also...bring a waterproof bag if you plan on taking your phone!

Boise's Fourth of July Parade

Kick off your holiday with one of Boise's favorite traditions! Expect colorful floats, marching bands, classic cars, community groups, and plenty of red, white, and blue. It's a fun morning outing that's perfect for the whole family.

Pro Tip: Bring a camp chair and get there a little early to snag a good spot along the route.

Escape to McCall

Want to trade the city for the mountains? McCall is one of Idaho's most popular Fourth of July destinations. Spend the day on Payette Lake, grab lunch downtown, browse the local shops, and end the night with an incredible fireworks show over the water.

Pro Tip: Expect traffic both heading up and coming home, so leave early, be patient, and make a full day out of it—you'll be glad you did!

No matter how you're celebrating, we hope you have an amazing Fourth of July filled with sunshine, great food, and time with the people you love. Have fun, stay safe, and Happy Fourth!
