Bacon, Community & a Whole Lot of Hope

What began as a fun community event at BACON Boise downtown 3 years ago, has grown into a powerful way to support kids right here in the Treasure Valley who need stability, encouragement & a place to call home.

Just outside Boise in Marsing, The Hope House has been quietly changing lives for decades. The organization provides a safe, stable home for children who have experienced difficult family situations, disrupted adoptions, or emotional challenges. Their mission is simple but powerful: create a loving, family-style environment where kids can heal, grow & reach their full potential through education, counseling, life skills training & consistent support. With an on-site private school, mentorship, vocational training & mental health support, the organization works to nurture the whole child & help them develop the tools they need for independence & success. BACON Boise fell in love with The Hope House, the mission & the people which is how Bacon for Hope was started.

What is Bacon for Hope?

Bacon for Hope is a non-profit that helps fund scholarships, staffing & campus projects that directly benefit the kids at Hope House. Over the years, its impact has been tangible, funds have helped build a new outdoor basketball court, renovate the track & field, provide sports equipment & coaching support & even create scholarships for graduating students.

Each year, the community rallies around Bacon for Hope Day, when restaurant sales and donations go directly toward supporting Hope House and the programs that help these kids thrive. And every year, the Boise community shows up in a big way.

The 3rd Annual Bacon for Hope Day

This year’s 3rd Annual Bacon for Hope Day was something special. The energy, the turnout & the generosity of our community were incredible. Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated & spread the word, we broke our giving record, raising over $10,000 for Hope House!

At Berryhill Real Estate, giving back to our community is something we truly believe in, so we were proud to match $2,000 in donations to help push this year’s total even further.
