What We’d Do In Boise This Week…

Go Here - Barbacoa - Hands-down, the best happy hour in Boise. Buy one get one free drinks & their happy hour food  menu is phenomenal (but you have to ask for it!) We love the street tacos. Besides that, the entire menu is incredible. The hot rock fillet is served with flames in front of you & the zucchini chips are to die for. It’s a local favorite, but I know we easily forget about it. We actually just went for our birthdays last week & were celebrated with their traditional birthday dessert of cotton candy with a piece of chocolate cake in the middle. 

Do This - Holiday Tree Lighting at The Grove and The Festival of Trees - Head down to the Grove on Friday night & catch Boise’s annual tree lighting. A perfect way to kick off the Christmas spirit! The Festival of Trees also begins this week. Pop in there before or after the lighting to take all of the beautiful trees & festivities. This is definitely one of our favorite holiday traditions! It’s a fun activity for the whole family & they even have a scavenger hunt for kids to complete (was my favorite when I was little)! 

Shop That - Wildflower - I love fresh flowers & I love giving fresh flowers. This cute little floral shop in the north end is one of my favorites to get arrangements from. You can stop by & make your own bouquet, buy a premade one or have them deliver to an address. They have the most beautiful seasonal choices!

Move It - Hike into a Hot Springs, or Just Visit One -  Rocky Canyon Hot Springs is an hour & a half drive from Boise + requires a little hike to get to the natural springs! If you’re not interested in hiking or have littles with you, our favorite is The Springs in Idaho City. You can even book a private tub, perfect for a date day! The weather is cooling off & there is frost + possibly even snow on the ground. We have found ourselves wanting to find ways to stay warm as our hot tub broke… so we will be visiting a few of these soon!
