Go Here - Saltbrush - I have been dying to try this restaurant since it opened & we finally made it out! Their menu is crafted around locally sourced ingredients & the ambiance is open, modern & warm. Our favorites are the sourdough boule starter, the duck leg entree + the NY steak with mashed potatoes. Also, if you know me- I’m ordering sparking water at every place I go & Saltbrush might take the cake for the best sparkling water… made in house! 

Do This - Winter Garden aGlow - One of Boise’s best spots to take in Christmas lights & holiday cheer! It is a stunning holiday light display hosted at the Idaho Botanical Garden, transforming the gardens into a magical wonderland with over 500,000 lights. The perfect spot to create festive memories, enjoy a cup of cocoa & soak in the holiday spirit amidst the beautifully illuminated natural scenery. We used to perform here in junior high choir & they still do! Catch the live local choirs, Snow Globe Bar, Santa & more almost every day this month! 

Shop That - The Chocolat Bar - Who doesn’t love chocolate? This is one of my go-to spots for gifts in Boise. Perfect for anyone who loves artisanal, hand-crafted chocolates + they always have the most unique seasonal offerings. Use it as a stocking stuffer or small gift! Stop by to grab some beautifully packaged gifts & sample some of their to-die-for chocolate bark, my favorite is the Crunch Bark! 

Move It - It’s Ski Season Baby!!! - Bogus Basin, Brundage, Bald Mountain & Tamarack are all open & ready for you to hit them! Bogus Basin is even debuting two new chairlifts this year that will significantly enhance the overall experience for beginners + families! All within a couple hours of Boise, this might just be the best time of year here. Whether you’re carving fresh power, exploring cross-country trails or just want to enjoy the cozy lodge, each of these has something to offer you.
