Events

August 5 - Kegs 4 Kause - Payette Brewing hosts this event every Monday from 6-10pm. They donate 50% of their profits to the non-profit of the night. This week’s proceeds go to Camp Rainbow Gold, which serves children with cancer + their families. They “provide events, programs, resources, and support to Idaho families who have experienced a pediatric cancer diagnosis.” Join them in giving back to our local community!

August 6-11 - Boise Hawks - Catch the Boise Hawks as they face the Billings Mustangs this week! Memorial Stadium is such a fun venue to watch a baseball game… one of the closest things you’ll find to a professional sport in Boise! Make sure to grab a picture with Humphrey the Hawk!

August 9 - Billy Currington Concert - Outlaw Field at The Idaho Botanical Gardens is one of our favorite concert venues in Boise (see how beautiful the setting is in photo). This week, enjoy Billy Currington, against the foothills & soaking in the sunset. You will not regret spending your night at this beautiful venue!

August 9 - Meridian Move Night - The last one of the year! Bring your lawn chairs & blankets to Settler’s Park to watch Wonka. There is also a splash pad, sound garden & park to enjoy before the movie starts at 7pm.

Weekly Recommendations

Head up to Bogus Basin for their Summer Activities - It’s not just for the wintertime… this is there perfect way to spend a day of summer! We love skiing & snowboarding at Bogus, but it has just as much to offer in the ‘off-season’. Enjoy summer concerts at their Music on the Patio events, participate in Yoga on the Mountain,  take the kids on the Glade Runner rollercoaster, do the Mineshaft Challenge Course, or enjoy your favorite outdoor activities on the trails like mountain biking, hiking & even a disc golf course!

Eagle Saturday Market + Waterwheels Gardens  - Spend your Saturday morning at the market at Eagle City Hall! Whether you are in Boise or closely, it is worth a stop if you haven’t been. Featuring many different vendors than our Boise markets, this is one of our favorites in the valley! Make sure to checkout Waterwheels Gardens stand. They are one of the best fruit, berry, vegetable & flower vendors out of the Emmett Valley. If you sign up for their email list & you can order for delivery via email or text. Your produce will never taste better… shop local this weekend!

Celebrate with the Caldwell Night Rodeo Kick-Off - Next week the Rodeo is HERE! Head on out to Indian Creek Plaza to start the hundred year celebration with your boots, drinks & dancing! If you haven’t yet, it’s time to get your tickets for the August 13th-17th rodeo. Caldwell’s event of the year!

Eats + Treats

The Counter -  This fun restaurant opened at the very end of spring this year! It’s operated by City of Good, a local non-profit that provides ready-to-eat meals for those who do not have access to food + delivers goods to pantries, & also doubles as space for their programs. The Counter is located in the Shrine Social Club, a music venue on Idaho St. Featuring local ingredients & a menu of smash burgers, fries, grilled cheese + my favorite, Idaho Kombucha, this is a must-try in Boise. Oh, & don’t forget the cotton candy for dessert! Grab a meal, listen to some good music & support a non-profit with an incredible mission for our community.
