What We’d Do In Boise This Week…

Go Here - LoveJoy Ice Cream - The First Day of School is here! After their first day of school + the half day… who doesn’t want & NEED ice cream? For all of my Boise School District friends + those wanting something fun to try in Southeast Boise, LoveJoy ice cream is where I would be heading with the kiddos. This ice cream shop just opened a couple of months ago in Bown Crossing & has delicious hand-scooped ice cream, paninis & even a private room you can rent out for birthday parties, class events, etc.! 

Do This - Form & Function at The SPARROW - This location is one of our favorite new coffee shops in Boise + we are big fans of Form’s coffee in general. It’s urban, clean & unique. It is located in the new boutique hotel downtown, The SPARROW. If you have meetings to set or friends to show Boise, this is one of the places I’d be taking them & even encouraging them to stay- at The SPARROW if they want a fun hotel experience (dogs are welcome)! 

Shop That - Freckled Blooms - We are suckers for fresh flowers- at our house, in the office, as gifts & in yards. Freckled Blooms is a sustainable floral design company that provides bouquet deliveries & services for weddings + events. We have ordered from them countless times & they have been nothing short of phenomenal. Every week they rotate which flowers to include in the bouquets based on what is locally in season & you can add a handwritten note to your bouquet deliveries. If you ever need flowers for your house or to send to a friend, we could not be bigger fans of Freckled Blooms.

Move It - Hawkins Range Reserve Trail - The most beautiful sunrises are caught here. Feelo, our Viszla, has an absolute blast on this trail. It is one of the newest trails that has been added to our abundant trail system in Boise & is perfect for hiking, running + biking (of all levels). Dogs can be off-leash currently, but must be on leash from May-June to protect elk calving. It is a quick drive up to the trailhead off of Bogus Basin road, with parking readily available. With the smoke seemingly gone, it’s the perfect time to try this trail out!
