#1 - YMCA St. Patricks Day Run - One of Boise’s favorite St. Patrick’s Day traditions is the YMCA St. Patrick’s Day Run at Julia Davis Park. The event includes a Leprechaun Mile, 5K & 5-Mile River Dash. It’s one of the most fun races of the year thanks to the sea of green outfits & festive energy. Whether you’re running or just cheering from the sidelines, it’s a great way to kick off the holiday before the celebrations continue around town.
#2 - St. Patricks Day at Barbacoa - If you’re looking for a more upscale way to celebrate, Barbacoa is adding some Irish flair to the day. They’ll be serving St. Patrick’s Day food & drink specials throughout the day + the Boise Highlanders will be filling the restaurant with the lively sound of bagpipes. We went last year & I HIGHLY recommend. It’s a fun mix of great food, festive drinks, and live music that makes for a unique St. Patrick’s Day experience.
#3 - St. Patricks Day Festivities at Payette Brewery - For a more casual celebration, Payette Brewing is always a great place to spend the holiday (or any day). Expect green beers on tap, live bagpipes from the Boise Highlanders, & even a new beer release to celebrate the occasion. With plenty of space & a lively crowd, it’s an easy spot to grab a drink with friends, kids + dogs & soak up the St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere.
Whether you start the day with a run or end it with a green beer, Boise provides so many ways to celebrate St. Pattty’s Day!
